Corkscrew Land & Cattle Co.
The Corkscrew Land & Cattle Company is a local Fernley boarding operation for horses. We have purchased a property steeped in tradition, with facilities and a level of care unmatched in the immediate area. In an ideal location, we are only 31 minutes from the Spaghetti Bowl in Reno and there are many trails in the area since we are less than half a mile from the Truckee Canal.
Our indoor riding area has an ambient light level that only requires lights on during the darkest winter days or when the sun goes down. There are many combinations of shelters and stalls that can accommodate your horses, including stallions. Both owners come from long lines of ranching and horsemanship, and your horses will be cared for as if they were our own. The barn also serves as an exquisite venue for special events.

Western Nevada College
For over 50 years, Western Nevada College has offered affordable and quality education in Nevada. The dreams of local educators, civic leaders and young minds became a reality when we opened our doors in September 1971. WNC began its charge for access to higher education without dedicated buildings, using classes throughout the community from Reno to Hawthorne, including the Tahoe Basin. The Carson City campus opened in 1974 with the construction of the Bristlecone building; WNC expanded its footprint to Fallon in 1981, and the Douglas Campus opened in 1997. WNC has consistently grown and evolved to meet the needs of a growing and thriving Nevada, and while WNC’s history is rich with accomplishments and student success the best is yet to come!
